Intergenerational Schools and our fundraising entity – Friends of Intergenerational Schools –  are 501-C-3 nonprofit organizations chartered by the State of Ohio.

Community public schools receive state funding for facilities and capital needs. Charter schools do not.

Community public schools receive income from local tax levies. Charter schools do not.

Intergenerational Schools operate with about 2/3 of traditional school funding. For Intergenerational Schools, successful fundraising is essential.

Intergenerational Schools are free and open to anyone. Intergenerational Schools spend between $10,000 - $11,000 per student to provide a high quality education. The difference between what Intergenerational Schools receive from state, federal and levy dollars is made up through fundraising from private individuals and foundations committed to ensuring our successful schools endure and thrive. We are lean and depend on fundraising to make up the difference.
