School Resumes. Distance Learning to Begin on April 6th

One day after Governor Mike DeWine extended school closure to May 1st, the Intergenerational Schools’ Boards of Directors unanimously voted to adopt a Distance Education Plan. This plan will take effect on Monday, April 6th.

Although we are physically a part from our students, we remain an Intergenerational Community committed to creativity and building personal connections in pursuit of Lifelong Learning. Throughout this process we are holding close to 2 Key Commitments:

  1. We commit to keeping strong personal relationships with our community at the center of everything we do.

  2. We commit to a lifelong learner lens.

Parents can visit our Distance Learning page for more information.

We are closely monitoring all updates regarding COVID-19 and will continue to update our Intergenerational Community as we receive new information. Below you will find links to communications and resources.

COVID - 19 Prevention

Prevention for COVID-19 is very similar to prevention for the annual flu virus and The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends the following actions:

  • Wash your hands often with soap and warm water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom, before eating, and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.

  • If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.

  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.

  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.

  • Stay home when you are sick.

  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.

  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.

  • Get a flu vaccine – it’s never too late.

Please reinforce these actions with your children at home and staff will continue to do so at school.  We cannot emphasize it strongly enough: please keep your child home if they are sick.
